VMA 2016 Highlights
Wow where do we start when it comes to VMA 2016
From red carpet attire, to awards, to performances to Beyonce’s special guests… we can actually say that A LOT was going on this year!
The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards took place on Sunday 28th August at the famous arena… Madison Square Garden in New York City and was a very entertaining show!
Let’s start our highlights with the red carpet.
RED CARPET HIGHLIGHT
For us the most memorable moment has to go to Beyonce.
This is not only because for her fabulous dress, or how cute Blue Ivy looked but for who her special guests were!
Beyonce’s guests at the MTV Video Music Awards included the mothers of four unarmed black men killed in the US: Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant and Eric Garner. Before the show began, Beyoncé posed on the awards show’s special white carpet with Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden-Head; Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton; Grant’s mother, Wanda Johnson; and Garner’s mother, Gwen Carr.

So we cant have an award show and not refer to Kanye West making a speech (Award or No Award lol). Kanye West used his 4 minutes to throw some shade, and proclaim his place in history before introducing the world premiere of his new video for “fade”. Have you seen the video yet? OK me neither lol, but check out the preview below until Youtube and online sites are allowed to show it lol
