Phife Dawg Hip Hop Legend dies aged 45
Hip Hop legend and Tribe called quest Band member Phife Dawg has died at the age of 45 according to reports.
The artist famed for tunes like “Can I Kick it” “Award tour” Bonita applelbum” and more.
The Five-Foot Assassin as he was known has been battling his health for years, consistently fighting Type-I diabetes, which he developed in 1990 and received a kidney transplant from his wife in 2008.
The news was broken by producer and broadcaster DJ Chuck Chillout on Twitter in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
His death was also confirmed by Statik Selektah, and many veteran Hip Hop artists, including Aesop Rock, Chuck D and El-P, who have taken to social media to express their condolences, as well. No news of causes of death have been reported as yet.
