Drake’s Grammy Nomination for Back 2 Back puts Meek Mill to Bed
Drakes Grammy nomination for “Back to Back” is the final nail in the coffin for Meek Mill.
The diss record is up for Best Rap Performance along with J. Cole’s “Apparently,” Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright,” Kanye West’s “All Day” and Nicki Minaj’s “Truffle Butter.” Yeah, Drizzy is on “Truffle Butter,” too.
Rumour is Drake didn’t initially want the song submitted and I guess Meek Mill feels that way too. Twitter went crazy with fans taking another opportunity to floor Meek with some hilarious tweets some joked that he will have to thank Meek Mill in his acceptance speech.
Meek did try and make peace went on to write an open letter in an Instagram post, which has since been deleted, saying that he wanted to put the feud behind him. “We really only focusing on making it out that’s the only war we fighting….I’m not entertaining no rap/real beef over drake s/o a rapper,’ he wrote.
‘I never shoulda entertained it because it won’t bring me no money or success.’ We’re guessing he won’t be too thrilled if he ends up being partly responsible for Drake landing another Grammy.
